What a kind crowd! I enjoyed snapping a few pictures before heading to work. This event was a sister march to the Women’s march that took place in over 270 cities across the country on the same day, January 20th, 2018. Same as last year, the title was changed to “justice” march, and concentrated on equal rights for everyone. It was a peaceful event that started at Plaza Park with live music and speakers before everyone marched together through the streets of downtown. It was a beautiful thing to witness. I am so proud of and inspired by people who stand back up when they’ve been pushed down. Ventura especially needed to come together like this after the devastation that the recent fires and mudslides have wreaked on our community.
