We drove with our new friend from Drammen To Hokksund, Norway. He was kind enough to bring us into his home and we had a great time getting to know him and his family over the next few weeks. They wanted to make sure we got to experience the country so they introduced us to people and drove us to beautiful places.
I wanted to be closer to the airport before my flight out so we said goodbye to our good friends and thanked them for everything. They helped us out a lot! Then we hopped on a train. To make our last few days together extra special we got a nice airbnb, complete with hot tub and puppies!
I’m so glad I got to spend so much time in Norway. I’m part Norwegian and it is nice to visit your ancestors. Especially when they come from such a breathtakingly beautiful place!
Our time there was perfect, as was the whole trip. It wasn’t always easy but it was incredibly worth it. It was as if everything was timed out just right to work out for us. If I learned anything from the journey it was that people are kind and everything happens for a reason.
I couldn’t have asked for a better last few days with Jason. I’m no good at goodbyes and it was hard, but the adventure must always go on, and that it did…
